Liza Glenn
Home Decorating
Liza Glenn entered the do-it-yourself industry quite by accident.
After successful careers as a retailer, real estate salesperson,
chef, loan specialist, interior designer, and caterer, Liza
was looking for a new challenge when her two children went
off to college. During a summer at her lakeside home in Canada,
she decorated her cottage with block printing and decided
she wanted to develop a product that was easy to use and affordable
for home decorators.
In 1994, Liza formed Muskoka Cottage Products, a full-service
distributorship and mail-order company that specializes in
block printing and decorating supplies. That same year, she
also teamed up with Jane Gauss to develop
Decorator Blocks®. These stamps are die-cut from a soft
foam that is easy to clean and can be used time and time again.
When combined with Decorator Glaze®, they create a hand-painted
look for the home.
Liza has been interested in the fine arts and decorative
arts most of her life. She began painting as a child, and
was fortunate enough to travel the world with her family and
view the work of the masters, as well as folk artisans of
different cultures. Today she continues to share her love
of the arts with others through teaching.
